| FAMILY INVOLVEMENT |
Families are an integral part of the whole AEPS-3 process. Family forms capture information from parents/caregivers, and a family-friendly report for demonstrating child progress is included. Informational handouts for families are also provided. |

The Child Observation Data Form, family handouts, Family Report, Family Assessment of Child Skills, Child Progress Record, and more are available in English and Spanish. |
| TRAINING |
Not required but encouraged. An online interrater reliability module will be available. Live training will be provided through Brookes on Location. |

An expert content validity study was conducted in 2012-2013. Concurrent validity, interrater reliability, and utility studies were conducted through field testing at 20 sites in the United States in 2015-2020. |
