The LEARN IT Development Model
LEARN IT is an approach to developing early educators’ intentional teaching practices, taking into account what is known about effective professional development and adult learning theory. Through this approach, educators embrace intentional teaching practices that promote learning in individual children.
Components of LEARN IT
- Learn new knowledge and skills
- Enact knowledge and skills in the classroom
- Assess the effectiveness of instructional interactions
- Reflect on and revise practices based on the assessment
- Network with colleagues and mentors
