Teacher Oat Co-Teaching Agreement

As a responsible and caring member of this co-teaching team, I promise to do the following:

  1. Respect the perspectives of my co-teacher. Just because that isn’t the way I would do it doesn’t make it wrong.
  2. Put students and instruction at the center of my co-teaching relationship; it is because of the students that our team exists.
  3. Engage in best practices, recognizing that the goal of co-teaching is student success.
  4. Communicate with my co-teacher about classroom concerns.
  5. Support my co-teacher’s decisions in front of the students. I recognize the importance of presenting a unified front.
  6. Take time to plan with my co-teacher on a regular basis.
  7. Celebrate our successes, whether they are with individual students or classwide.
  8. Evaluate and improve practices with my co-teacher to make our partnership stronger.
  9. Recognize that disagreements are inevitable and commit to working through difficult situations in a professional manner.
