How can educators include and teach grade-level content to students with intellectual disabilities in general education classrooms? Curriculum modifications are the answer! In this seminar, Nicole Eredics, who is a full inclusion teacher and author of Inclusion in Action, will explain the critical role that curriculum modifications have in the full inclusion of students with intellect disabilities. Furthermore, Nicole will provide participants with the skills and strategies to make the curriculum accessible and achievable for students on modified programs.
Participants will:
- Have an understanding of curriculum modifications and their role in the inclusive education of students with intellectual disabilities
- Know to modify curriculum using instructional strategies that alter, delete, and substitute content
